About ASF 2009
The ASF 2009 conference was held February 8th - 11th, 2009. The program featured an extensive array of substantive panels on critical policy challenges confronting the market, including TARP, TALF, mortgage finance and foreclosure avoidance legislation, loan servicing and loss mitigation initiatives, GSE reform, and what to expect from the new Congress and administration. These discussions featured key regulators, policymakers, and thought leaders from the various public sector organizations with whom ASF interacts regularly, including Director James B. Lockhart III, Director and Chairman of the Oversight Board of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, and Sandra Thompson, Director of the Division of Supervision and Consumer Protection at the FDIC. Over 115 regulators from regulatory bodies all over the world participated, along with over 1300 investors, 650 issuers, and representatives from a variety of consumer and community groups involved in the issues facing our market.

ASF 2009 also featured programming addressing current business developments and the outlook for all securitization asset classes and product types, including RMBS, credit card ABS, auto loan ABS, student loan ABS, and esoteric and emerging transaction structures and business opportunities.

Perhaps more so than any previous conference, ASF 2009 was a landmark event, advancing discussion and dialogue on a range of topics that will influence the shape of the securitization markets for years to come. As the only conference designed and executed by and for the securitization industry, ASF 2009, with its timely and thought-provoking educational sessions and strong business networking environment, once again provided an efficient opportunity for the over 4200 industry participants to directly influence the future of our industry.
